When to play safe
In large public leagues where 60%+ of managers captain the same player, matching the field minimises rank damage. Kane at home against a bottom-half side is the textbook safe pick.
When to go differential
In head-to-head leagues or small private groups, a differential captain who hauls can swing the entire gameweek. Target players with high ceiling fixtures — wingers against open defences, strikers on penalties.
